Undulations of Memory is an installation consisting of one large-scale textile sculpture, Wave. This work is time-based— it moves throughout the day in conjunction with a tidal chart. Wave explores the artist’s relationship to nature, water, memory, and movement through craft and the material practices of sewing and dyeing. Wave is built of memory— memories of experience, memories of shape, memories of the hand, of submersion, of feelings and sounds, of ways of being.
